HALAL dari JAKIM

Tolong sebarluaskan kepada rakan-rakan Muslim yang lain sebab ini urusan agama kita.
Berikut adalah beberapa maklum balas dari JAKIM tentang status halal-haram restoran dan makanan :-
1. Restoran berikut telah mendapat pengesahan halal JAKIM :
1) McDonald
2) A&W
3) Secret Recipe

Restoran berikut telah ditarik sijil pengesahan halal JAKIM kerana gagal mematuhi syarat dan piawaian halal :
1) Victoria Station
2) Kam Lun Ta
3) Lotus Family Restoran
Restoran berikut tidak pernah mendapat pengesahan halal JAKIM :
1) San Francisco Steakhouse
2) Chicken Rice Shop
3) Kiwi Express

Bagi minuman ringan keluaran syarikat F&N seperti Coke dan 100 plus telah mendapat pengesahan halal JAKIM .
Bagi kuih bulan dan kuih bakul yang telah mendapat pengesahan halal JAKIM adalah halal sebagai contoh yang dikeluarkan oleh syarikat KG Pastry atau Noraini’s Cookies dan lain-lain yang ada menggunakan logo halal JAKIM kecuali kuih bulan dari Kam Lun Tai kerana telah ditarik balik pengesahan halalnya disebabkan berlaku perlanggaran syarat dan peraturan halal yang ditetapkan.

2. Ayam segar yang dibungkuskan atas nama Farmbest adalah dikeluarkan oleh Syarikat Sin Mah Sdn Bhd, syarikat ini telah mendapat pengesahan halal JAKIM .

3. Sehingga kini pengeluar makanan supplement dan produk makanan kesihatan yang telah berdaftar dengan JAKIM adalah syarikat Upha. Kebanyakan makanan supplement dari syarikat Upha telah mendapat pengesahan halal JAKIM dan telah dipastikan soft gel untuk kapsul yang digunakan adalah halal, bagi produk jenama Blackmores, Solaray, Seven Seas, 21 Century tidak pernah mendapat pengesahan halal JAKIM, kerana itu tidak dapat dipastikan kapsul yang digunakan itu walau pun didakwa bersumberkan lembu tetapi tidak diketahui sama ada lembu itu disembelih atau tidak.
Produk yang tidak mendapat pengesahan halal ini adalah kerana itu adalah produk import, maka pengedar dan pengeluar bertanggungjawab mendapatkan pengesahan halal dari badan Islam di negara asal produk tersebut diimport.

4. Restoran Dome dan seluruh rangkaiannya tidak pernah mendapat pengesahan halal JAKIM, maka kerana itu tidak dapat dipastikan status kehalalan makanan dan minuman yang disediakan di restoran ini.

5. Soalan: Saya ingin tahu samada semua stall di food court Suria KLCC halal kerana tiada papan tanda yang membezakan gerai yang halal dengan yang tidak halal. Saya juga ingin tahu samada semua restoran di Suria KLCC menghidangkan makanan yang halal (walaupun ada yang menjual arak ): Madam Kwan’s, Spring Garden, Rain Nudle House, Bukhara, Chillis, California PIzza, Kelantan Delights, Chakri’s Palace, Rotiboy Bakeshoppe, Auntie Anne’s Pretzels, Cinnabon, Al-Marjan , Bong Sen (Vietnamese) , Chinoz On the Park, Dome CafĂ©, Genki Sushi, Gloria Jean’s Coffees, House of Sudanese Food, San Francisco Steak House/Santini.
Jawapan: Gerai-gerai makan di Medan Selera di KLCC tidak ada yang mendapat pengesahan halal JAKIM termasuklah juga semua restoran yang disenaraikan itu.

6. Baker’s Cottage telah mendapat pengesahan halal dari JAIS ( Jabatan Agama Islam Selangor ), La Boheme tidak dapat dipastikan status halal kerana tidak pernah mendapat pengesahan halal JAKIM. King’s Confectionery telah mendapat pengesahan halal JAKIM, Status makanan yang disediakan di Giant dan Tesco ada sebahagiannya yang telah mendapat pengesahan halal JAKIM, manakala Jusco hendaklah merujuk kepada logo halal yang digunakan pada pembungkusan produk kerana Jusco tidak pernah mendapat pengesahan halal JAKIM secara khusus.

7. Kedai Bread Talk & Bread Story tidak pernah mendapat pengesahan halal JAKIM .

8. Sehingga kini JAKIM tidak pernah memberi pengesahan halal ke atas Restoran Burger King, maka dengan itu tidak dapat dipastikan status kehalalan produk yang dijual.

9. Pernyataan mencampurkan minyak **** untuk pembuatan sausage ayam, fish ball dan lain-lain adalah tidak benar bagi produk terbabit yang telah mendapat pengesahan halal JAKIM. Bagi produk Ramli Burger dan Ayamas, memang telah mendapat pengesahan halal JAKIM dan kedua-dua syarikat ini sentiasa mematuhi peraturan halal JAKIM.

10. Coffee Bean telah mendapat pengesahan halal JAKIM dan telah dipastikan semua bahan yang digunakan adalah halal tetapi Starbuck memang tidak pernah memohon pengesahan halal JAKIM, maka tidak dapat dipastikan kehalalan bahan atau produk di tempat tersebut.

Emulsifiers

Mono and diglycerides are a mixture of fatty substances containing glycerol and one (mono) or two (di) fatty acids. They are manufactured from the breakdown of fats and oils. Commercially available mono and diglycerides may be manufactured from vegetable oils, beef fat, lard or marine oils. Mono and diglycerides from vegetable and marine oils are Halal, whereas from beef fat mashbooh and from lard Haram.
 

Gelatin

Gelatin is a protein product commercially made from pork skin, cattle bones, calf skin or from fish skin. Usually on one label there is no distinction made as to the source of gelatin present in the Cod. Therefore, any product which contains gelatin is either Haram or at least mashbooh, because the animal source is not identified, unless the label clearly indicates Halal gelatin or fish gelatin. Typical foods which may contain gelatin include frosted cereals, cereals bars, ice cream yogurt, certain dairy drinks, chocolate, candies and so on.
 

Enzymes
 

Enzymes are widely used in the food and dairy industry. The sources can be animal, plant or microbial. An animal enzyme commonly used, rennin, is extracted from calf stomachs. Pepsin is another digestive enzymes from the stomachs of pigs. Only the enzyme from plant, calves slaughtered properly) or microbial should be used in Halal foods.
 

Glycerin

Glycerin is made from fats or oils which could have animal or vegetable origins or even produced from petrochemicals. Product development scientists should avoid glycerin from animal fats in the development of Halal products.
 

Lard

Lard is pork fat and prohibited for Muslims. Fortunately the use of lard in the US has decreased over the last decade due to awareness about cholesterol.
 

Lecithin

Lecithin is found in the fat portions of all plant and animal systems. It is used in many food products that contain fats as an emulsifier. The most common source of lecithin is soybeans but labels are a rarely descriptive about the source.
 

Alcohol

Alcohol is an intoxicant and prohibited for Muslims as such. Many liquid flavors (e.g. vanilla) contain alcohol as an ingredient. Foods such as sodas, ice cream. salad dressings, or sauces may contain alcohol in their formulation. Now many flavors are available which are alcohol free. Food flavor may be extracted with alcohol or ingredients precipitated with alcohol but it must be evaporated to minimize the residual level present.

E- bererti EC (European communities)
E-Kod nombor yang diberikan kepada bahan-bahan additif dalam makanan. Sebahagian ‘Kod E’ ini diharamkan di sesetengah negara. Di United Kingdom kod emulsifiers yang tidak disertai dengan huruf E juga diterima tetapi tidak dibenarkan di sesetengah negara lain.
‘Kod E’ ini dikategorikan sebagai berikut:-

Status Halal:
Status Halal hanya diberikan kepada bahan-bahan (ingredien) yang diperolehi 100% bahan mentah yang halal tanpa menggunakan alkohol (arak). Ia adalah bahan berasal dari bahan tumbuhan dan kimia.
Haram:
Bahan yang diperolehi daripada sumber binatang atau menggunakan sumber arak. Semua binatang yang tidak disembelih mengikut Islam juga haram meskipun ia binatang yang halal dimakan kerana nama Allah tidak disebut semasa penyembelihan. Kesemua produk hasilan (by product) yang tidak disembelih juga dianggap haram. By product daripada Khinzir juga haram.
Masybuh atau Syubahat (Ragu):
Status syubahat diberikan kepada Kod E sekiranya sumbernya tidak diketahui sama ada dari tumbuhan atau binatang serta kekurangan maklumat tentang penggunaan bahan asas yang bersumberkan arak. Ada setengah negara tidak mensyaratkan bahan proses pembantu yang dimasukkan bahan pengawet dsbnya.
KOD E YANG HARAM :
Bahan-bahan E di bawah dikira sebagai Haram:
1. E 120: Cochineal (warna merah dari serangga) mengikut Mazhab Hanafi
2. E 441: Gelatin, jika sumber dari khinzir
3. E 542: Edible Bone Phosphate jika sumber dari khinzir
Maklumat di atas cukup berguna untuk barangan makanan yang diimpot. Bagi makanan keluaran tempatan, sila semak dengan pengeluar. Kebiasaannya negara kita mengikut British atau American Standard untuk tujuan coding atau measurement. Adalah dinasihatkan menyemak terlebih dahulu jika kurang yakin.
Amaran: Tidak semua bahan adalah 100% asli. Bahan tersembunyi atau bahan pembantu pemerosesan juga ditambah untuk membantu menyurai, mencampur atau memproses bahan makanan dalam sesuatu sistem makanan. Kebiasaannya bahan tersembunyi ini tidak dicatatkan bersama bahan-bahan yang digunakan dalam makanan sebagaimana yang tertera pada pembungkusan produk kerana ia di bawah peratusan kurang dari 2% yang dibenarkan. Makanan impot umpamanya Beta Kerotin tidak 100% tetapi hanya 98% dan 2% lagi mungkin minyak sayuran atau gelatin ikan. Inilah masalah kita yang perlu kita sahkan bahan tersembunyi yang perlu dipantau oleh JAKIM terutamanya pengeluar bukan Islam.
